Customs Seize 20 kg of Cannabis at Morocco-Spain Border Crossing

An attempt to traffic 20 kg of cannabis resin has just been thwarted at the Bab Sebta crossing point, by a joint brigade of customs and police.
Elements of the joint brigade of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the Administration of Customs and Indirect Taxes seized 20 kg of cannabis resin, reports the MAP.
This significant seizure was made during a routine search of a utility vehicle registered in Morocco, which was about to return to Ceuta, the same source indicates.
The driver of the vehicle was quite ingenious. Indeed, to deceive the vigilance of the customs officers, the same media notes that the drug, arranged in the form of tablets, was hidden in hiding places and cavities located at the rear of the front seats and behind the rear fenders of the vehicle.
The person concerned, who is a Moroccan citizen, was handed over to the judicial police of Tetouan for further investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, concludes the MAP.
