Crane Collapse at Tangier Construction Site Injures Two, Damages Vehicles

Two workers were injured on Tuesday in the fall of a crane on a construction site, near the headquarters of the urban municipality of Tangier. Parked cars near the scene of the incident were also damaged.
One of the injured workers is in critical condition and was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Mohammed V regional hospital, reports Al Akhbar, stressing that the fall of this crane caused significant material damage and damaged parked vehicles near the construction site.
Informed of the incident, the local authorities, accompanied by the security forces, went to the scene to assess the damage. An investigation has been opened to determine the causes and circumstances of the fall of this crane which caused panic among the inhabitants of the area.
According to some sources, the recent gusts of wind and precipitation recorded in the city could be the cause of the fall of the equipment. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of strict compliance with safety measures on construction sites. Recently, a woman lost her life in the collapse of the walls of a building under construction in the Malabata district.
