Covid-19 Outbreaks in Moroccan Factories: 65 Cases Reported in Skhirat-Témara

Three Covid-19 outbreaks have been discovered in industrial units located in the prefecture of Skhirat-Témara. In total, 65 positive cases have been recorded.
The first outbreak of contamination was discovered last Thursday in a textile factory in the prefecture of Skhirat-Temara, reports Al Akhbar. In total, 44 people, the majority of whom are women, tested positive for Covid-19 after a worker contracted the disease. Subsequently, the authorities detected two new outbreaks of contamination in two other factories located in Ain Atik and in the city center of Témara. In total, 21 new positive cases have been recorded, bringing the total number of infected workers to 65 in the prefecture of Skhirat-Temara.
For now, the specialists are analyzing the samples taken from the infected people. The authorities of the prefecture fear contamination with the new Omicron variant. If this fear is confirmed, the territorial and health authorities could impose draconian restrictive measures, including the closure of these units as early as next Monday, in order to curb the spread of the virus.
