Coronavirus Fears Spark Alert as 3,000 European Tourists Arrive at Moroccan Port

The commercial port of Agadir was placed on maximum alert on Tuesday, March 3 morning, following the arrival of a ferry carrying 3,000 passengers from various European countries.
Fearing a new source of spread of the Coronavirus, the local authorities tried, as best they could, to strengthen the security control measures at the port level.
Since the appearance of the first case of Covid-19 infection in Casablanca, the Ministry of Health has given instructions to set up an early screening system for the Coronavirus at the ports and airports of the kingdom.
The capital of the south experiences, all year round, a massive influx of European tourists, particularly from France and Italy, where a significant number of victims have been recorded.
