Controversial "Daily Routine" Videos Spark Outrage Over Domestic Violence Content

The publication of a series of "my daily routine" videos on YouTube is provoking strong reactions. Many Internet users consider their content "violent" and above all very "vulgar".
In one of the videos, a woman talks about her "daily routine" with her husband. She suggests that her marital relationship has "returned to normal after a tense period". She confesses that her partner started beating her and abusing her without any reason. The content of these "my daily routine" videos that are a hit on YouTube is condemned by many Moroccan Internet users.
This success is explained by the methods used by the producers of these videos. They do not hesitate to shoot "pornographic" scenes. Outraged, some Internet users call for the intervention of regulatory bodies to control the publication of videos on the YouTube platform.
In a statement to Hespress, Abdelkader Mana, a sociologist, explains the causes. "The media situation has evolved a lot in recent years due to the technical ease brought about by the global digital revolution, which allows citizens to produce videos that they can easily disseminate thanks to the power of the image," he commented.
"The digital landscape has indeed changed, as social media platforms, including YouTube, have opened the way for Moroccans to express themselves as they wish. However, the content remains dominated by triviality," he noted, stating that there is a "strong demand from citizens for a specific type of video." The researcher deplores the lack of control tools like those that exist outside the digital space.
