US Consulate in Morocco Resumes Visa Services for Students and Select Travelers

The US Consulate General in Casablanca resumed the processing of visa applications on August 24. This concerns students as well as certain categories of travelers.
The resumption of US visa services in Morocco is effective five months after their suspension, which occurred a few days after Morocco declared a state of health emergency to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Concerned are visas for "foreign doctors, [government] visitors, visiting international professors, researchers, short-term researchers, specialists, high school students and university students," the consulate specifies in a Twitter post. Student visas are scheduled from August 24 to 28 and from August 31 to September 4.
The appointments of students who had a fixed date in September have been postponed to the week of August 24. In the meantime, all other students must make an appointment on one of the dates set by the consulate.
In order to receive the maximum number of applicants, the general consulate will receive six students every 30 minutes, on a precise and rigorous schedule, with the mandatory wearing of masks. Visa applicants are invited to keep an eye on their email for any information.
