US Considers Sale of Advanced Patriot Missile System to Morocco

The United States is considering selling Morocco the latest version of the Patriot air defense missile system. The kingdom is cited as a potential customer along with two other European countries.
This defense system has been developed to effectively address various threats from the sky, in light of its experiences on the battlefields and the shortcomings that appeared in its previous versions, reveals FAR-MAROC.
According to a 2019 report from the U.S. Department of Defense on the "Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (PAC-3 MSE) program, Morocco is a potential customer along with Sweden and Norway.
The military cooperation between the United States and Morocco remains solid and is manifested through several actions, despite attempts within the U.S. Congress to reduce the amount of military aid granted to Morocco, it is pointed out.
It should be noted that the main suppliers of the Moroccan army are the United States, France and Spain. The Kingdom is moreover the largest buyer of American weapons in Africa.
