Comedian Jamel Debbouze Shares Heartfelt Birthday Tribute to Wife Mélissa Theuriau
Last Thursday, journalist Mélissa Theuriau celebrated her 46th birthday. An opportunity for her husband, Franco-Moroccan comedian Jamel Debbouze to make her a beautiful declaration.
As in previous years, Jamel Debbouze sent a beautiful message for his wife’s birthday. On Instagram, the Franco-Moroccan comedian shared several photos of the couple, his wife Mélissa Theuriau and their children, Léon, 15, and Lila, 12. He comments: "Thank you for all these July 18ths and all the happiness you give us. Inchallah there will be at least 50 more."
Jamel and Mélissa first met on the set of the film Asterix at the Olympic Games in Spain in 2007. The journalist was doing a report for the Zone Interdite program, and it was love at first sight. "I had been asked not to approach him, but he was spying on me behind a newspaper he was holding upside down," the journalist recalls in an interview with Le Parisien. She adds: "The discussion started, I only heard intelligence. [...] it was me who sought to contact him... to continue our exchanges simply." At the time, the two personalities were already in a relationship, but their love ended up taking over.
Jamel and Mélissa got married in 2008 and are now parents of two children: Léon and Lila. They have lived in Paris for several years.
