Comedian Gad Elmaleh Rallies Support for Friend’s Cancer Battle

Canadian-Moroccan comedian Gad Elmaleh is calling on his fans to help a loved one who is battling cancer.
"Friends, we are with sister Fouzia with all our hearts," he wrote in two Instagram stories. Fouzia is suffering from cancer. "I just spoke to Toto (a famous Moroccan singer, editor’s note) in Morocco, everyone is mobilizing to help her," Gad Elmaleh detailed. "I’m sending her strength, love," he continued. The Franco-Moroccan comedian is counting on the generosity of his subscribers and fans to raise funds. He also intends to raise awareness about cancer.
On another note, Gad Elmaleh, 50, will finish his tour, which he had started on September 9 to present his sixth one-man show titled "D’ailleurs" in February 2022 at the Dôme de Paris. He had been forced to suspend it due to a "minor health problem." "I address several themes from the angle of analysis, demystification and truth," he had said. These are his different lives: the American dream (Hollywood and talk shows...), disillusionment, parenthood, religion, death (he recounts how his funeral will take place!), the midlife crisis (addressed on a mystical and spiritual level), education, and even part of his life in Monaco.
