Club Med Reopens Marrakech Resort, Sees Occupancy Rise for Holiday Season

Among the 10 resorts that will be open for the holiday season is the one in Morocco, Marrakech la Palmeraie, Club Med announced at a press conference.
In addition to Marrakech la Palmeraie in Morocco, La Caravelle in Guadeloupe, Punta Cana and Michès Playa Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic, Cancún Yucatán in Mexico, Kani and Les Villas de Finolhu in the Maldives as well as Lake Paradise, Trancoso and Rio Das Pedras in Brazil will also be open during this period.
For Anne Browaeys, Managing Director of the Europe - Africa markets, two establishments have seen an increase in their occupancy rate. These are La Palmeraie in Morocco, which gained 14 points, and La Caravelle in Guadeloupe, which gained 16 points. "Some of our resorts, like La Caravelle in Guadeloupe or Kani in the Maldives, are almost full for New Year’s week," adds Charlotte Bernin, Commercial and Omnichannel Director France.
In addition, Club Med plans to guarantee the safety of its customers by issuing the "together in safety" protocol. It takes into account optimized reception capacity, extended meal times, greater distance between tables, adaptation of entertainment for children and adults in the evening, and enhanced cleaning. This protocol also provides for the availability of a doctor or nurse 7 days a week, not to mention the training of teams in hygiene and safety.
