Civil Guard Arrests Three in Ceuta for Luxury Car Smuggling Ring

The Civil Guard of Ceuta has arrested three individuals, two French and one Moroccan residing in Spain, for attempting to smuggle three high-end vehicles stolen in Morocco into Morocco.
The three defendants were arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of theft, trafficking in stolen vehicles and document forgery. They were brought before the competent judge who ordered their detention, reports Ceuta Actualidad.
The special device set up to detect the illicit traffic of vehicles between Europe and Africa, examined the vehicles based on precise criteria. This very complex work made it possible to detect the falsifications of the registration numbers and the vehicle parts.
The accused had falsified the chassis number and parts of one of the vehicles in Spain and those of the other two vehicles in different countries of the European Union.
