Chinese Woman Assaulted in Home Invasion in Moroccan Town of Merzouga

A Chinese national residing with her Moroccan husband in Merzouga in the province of Errachidia has decided to file a complaint against three young people for physical and psychological assault and violence.
On the morning of Tuesday, September 10, three individuals broke into her home located at the Palais de Merzouka, armed with sticks and bladed weapons, reports the site AlOumk.
The victim recounts that the criminals violently assaulted her husband, her mother-in-law and members of their family, before she tried to intervene in an attempt to calm the spirits.
But her initiative was brutally repelled by the intruders who, according to her, inflicted several blows with a stick. In addition, they broke her glasses and her camera. She was even ordered to leave Moroccan territory if she wanted to avoid retaliation.
A complaint was filed with the Prosecutor of the King of Erfoud by the plaintiff who suffers from very serious physical and psychological trauma, requiring consultation with a psychologist, the same source said.
