Chinese Auto Giant Tianyouwei to Invest €65 Million in Moroccan Manufacturing Hub

A Chinese group specializing in automotive components intends to invest 65 million euros to set up a 100% owned subsidiary in Morocco.

The appeal of the Moroccan automotive industry remains undiminished. The Chinese group Tianyouwei Electronics, specialized in automotive components, intends to create a production subsidiary in Morocco, called Tianyouwei Electronics Morocco Co., Ltd., with a capital of 65 million euros, or approximately 705 million dirhams. The resolution relating to this investment was unanimously adopted on August 27, 2025 by the group’s board of directors.

This subsidiary will be constituted in the form of a limited liability company with an initial capital of 130 million dirhams. Tianyouwei Electronics Morocco Co., Ltd. will be "one of the future production hubs abroad, intended to serve the automotive manufacturers present in Morocco and supply the European market," the group promises.

The establishment in Morocco will allow "to expand international coverage, to respond to orders from foreign customers and to maintain the group’s competitive advantage on the domestic and international markets," Tianyouwei said in a press release, specifying that the investment will be financed by equity or funds raised by the company, while ensuring that this "will not adversely affect the company’s financial situation and will not infringe on the rights of shareholders."

Tianyouwei is specialized in the research, development, design, production and sale of automotive instruments and intelligent cockpits. Its product range includes electronic dashboards, LCD instrument panels, dual-screen instruments, infotainment systems, wireless car chargers and other automotive electronic components. According to its half-year report for the first half of 2025, it recorded operating revenues of 2.029 billion RMB (282 million dollars).
