China Appoints Li Changlin as New Ambassador to Morocco, Strengthening Diplomatic Ties

Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed new ambassadors in three countries, including Morocco. These appointments are in accordance with a decision of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Assembly.
Li Changlin is the new ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Morocco. He replaces Li Li who spent nearly four years in this position in Rabat. The new representative of Chinese diplomacy in Morocco is a senior official of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Li Changlin will, among other things, have the mission of continuing the good momentum of the cooperation relations between Morocco and China, reports french.china.org.
Before this appointment, he held the position of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of China to Burundi from September 2017 to February 2021. Li Changlin is handing over his ambassador’s chair in China to Burundi to Zhao Jiangping. In Botswana, Wang Xuefeng has been appointed ambassador, replacing Zhao Yanbo.
Barely appointed, Li Changlin has already carried out a first official activity which coincides with the month of Ramadan and which concerns the signing of the partnership with the Al Rayane Association and the launch of the solidarity operation by distributing food baskets.
