Chelsea’s Ziyech Sidelined with Knee Injury, Debut Delayed
Chelsea’s coach said on Thursday during a press conference that Hakim Ziyech will not make his first steps with the team. The Moroccan international is suffering from a knee injury.
According to Franck Lampard, the Atlas Lion will have to be patient and recover from his injury. "Hakim Ziyech got injured in the knee against Brighton and will therefore not be fit. We hope it’s a matter of weeks, a few weeks, but we have to see," Lampard said during the press conference on Thursday.
Even though this match allowed the midfielder to find his bearings, he came out of it with an injury just after the break. After many years at Ajax, Hakim Ziyech landed at Chelsea for an amount of 45 million euros.
