Chelsea Star Hakim Ziyech Embraces Tradition, Butchers Sheep for Eid al-Adha
Moroccan international, Hakim Ziyech, traded his Chelsea FC jersey for a butcher’s outfit, just long enough to lend a hand and cut his sheep for the Eid al-Adha holiday.
This moment spent with family was immortalized in a video that has gone viral on social media and sparked a wave of sympathy for his attachment to certain rituals and traditions.
Recall that the English club Chelsea concluded an agreement with the 26-year-old Moroccan star for the tidy sum of 40 million euros. The contract duration is 5 years.
Ziyech, who said he was "proud to have signed for a club as important as Chelsea", scored 9 goals, in all competitions, during his last season with Ajax Amsterdam.
