Ceuta-Morocco Border: New Commercial Customs to Open with Limited Hours and Staff

The commercial customs office that will soon be opened at the border of Ceuta with Morocco will have limited hours and a reduced staff dedicated to the control of goods.
In its response to a question from Senator David Muñoz Arbona (PP) of Ceuta, who asked for information on the schedules and staff planned for this customs office that will be put into service very soon, the Spanish government indicated that these commercial customs will be operational from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., adding that six Treasury agents will be assigned to this new service.
The Chamber of Commerce or the Confederation of Businessmen of Ceuta have assured EFE that they have no information on the opening date of this first customs office in Ceuta. At the end of March, the president of the autonomous city, Juan Jesús Vivas (PP), called for an "unrestricted" opening of this customs office, as well as "reciprocity" with Morocco regarding the traveler regime.
