The case of the assault on girls reciting the Quran reaches parliament

The parliamentary group of the Party of Justice and Development (PJD) has requested the opening of an investigation into the assault suffered by young girls who were reciting the Quran in the province of Chichaoua, revealed by a video circulated on social networks.
The video shows young girls reading the Quran under a tent intended for victims of the September 8 earthquake, being assaulted by two people who threw several copies of the Quran to the ground, recalled MP Aïcha Lkout in written questions addressed to the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, and the Minister of Habous and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Toufiq.
The PJD deputy asked the Minister of the Interior to open an investigation into this case and to take firm sanctions against these two individuals who attacked young girls because they were reading the Quran during the holy month of Ramadan. Lkout also asked the Minister of Habous and Islamic Affairs what measures he intends to take to provide disaster-stricken villages with spaces for the memorization and study of the Holy Quran.
