Casablanca Region Urges Remote Work as Omicron Cases Rise

The latest decision taken in 2021 by the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region is to call on Casablancans to work "as much as possible remotely", in the face of the Omicron variant. Saïd Ahmidouch addressed all public administrations, local authorities, private sector companies and companies throughout the region.
In a press release, the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region states that public and private sector companies and companies must raise awareness and even encourage their employees to work remotely, "as much as possible". This decision was made "in view of the measures to deal with the coronavirus epidemic, and in particular the Omicron variant, and as part of the strengthening of preventive measures taken to preserve the health of citizens during this period which is experiencing a rise in infections by this virus," it reads.
In addition to remote work, the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region insists on the need to have a health pass to access workplaces and production units. Thus, he calls on managers at various levels to ensure that the vaccination of their employees is complete. Saïd Ahmidouch also recalls the obligation to respect the preventive measures of wearing a mask, physical distancing and hand washing.
