Casablanca Real Estate Prices Rise 0.6% Amid National Market Growth

In the second quarter of this year, the overall index of real estate asset prices in Morocco increased by 0.2%. In Casablanca, prices followed the same trend, showing a 0.6% increase.
In the economic capital, prices increased by 0.6% from one quarter to the next, the result of increases of 0.1% for residential properties, and 4.4% for professional-use properties. On the land side, Bank Al-Maghrib, in a note on the overall trend of the real estate market, reports a 1.2% drop.
Regarding transactions, they recorded an increase of 12.9%, reflecting increases in sales of residential properties (16.1%), land (5.1%) and professional-use assets (0.2%).
