Casablanca Police Refute Claims of Criminal Gangs at Oulad Ziane Bus Station

The information that the Oulad Ziane bus station would be infested with criminal gangs targeting passengers and forcing them to take buses under the threat of knives is false.
As soon as this information was disseminated on social networks, the Casablanca police prefecture "reacted with speed and seriousness," according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
Considering these statements as a denunciation of possible crimes, a preliminary investigation was opened in order to identify any potential victims and arrest the suspects involved.
According to the DGSN, the research and investigations carried out revealed that the statements of the conductor are false and fabricated. It also specifies that this individual has problems and disputes with travel agencies at the bus station. These refuse to deal with him because of his behavior and his many criminal records.
Arrested, the suspect was placed in custody for the purposes of the investigation by the judicial police brigade of the Anfa security district.
