Casablanca Police Probe Real Estate Fraud: Former Officials Questioned

The National Brigade of the Judicial Police of Casablanca is currently investigating a suspected case of document forgery related to a real estate project in the city.
The case, which has been ongoing for more than a year, is meticulously examining all stages of the project, from the granting of building permits to its completion, reports the site al3omk, specifying that this investigation aims to clarify the various irregularities and anomalies that taint this project.
Among the people summoned by the Brigade are members of the former management council of the Casablanca municipality, including the parliamentarian Abdessamad Haikar.
The latter, in charge of urban planning under the presidency of Abdelaziz El Omari (PJD), told the same source that his summons was justified by his previous position and stressed the Brigade’s right to question all the parties involved, while refusing to disclose the details of the questions asked, due to the confidential nature of the investigation.
Haikar also indicated that all the permits issued by the former municipal council are documented and accessible on the Casablanca municipality platform. The investigation by the National Brigade continues, with a view to bringing before the courts the individuals involved in the forgery of documents related to this controversial real estate project.
