Casablanca Police Arrest 20 in Livestock Market Clash Before Eid Al-Adha

The elements of the Hay Hassani police in Casablanca proceeded to the arrest of 20 individuals, including eight minors, on Thursday, July 30. They would be involved in acts of violence, stone throwing and theft in a livestock market.
The events took place at the Hay Hassani market in Casablanca on the eve of Aid Al-Adha. Clashes broke out between individuals and livestock sellers. The publication of images of the scene became viral on social networks.
The elements of the National Security in charge of the security of the livestock sales area immediately intervened after noting these acts, which were accompanied by an exchange of stone throwing between citizens and livestock sellers in this market, specifies in a press release the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
Subsequently, 20 individuals, including eight minors, were arrested. The police elements are working to elucidate this case.
For the time being, no theft complaint has been filed with the DGSN services.
