Casablanca NGOs Rally to Aid Homeless Migrants After Camp Dismantling

The Protection Working Group (GTP) is concerned about the fate of homeless migrants, after the dismantling last week of their camps in Casablanca. This group of associations and organizations engaged in the protection of human rights intends to mobilize as many NGOs as possible for this purpose.
At the initiative of the Bank de Solidarité association and the Solidarité accompagnement initiative développement (SAID) Foundation, this collective of associations and human rights organizations active in the protection of refugees, asylum seekers, vulnerable migrants and stateless persons in the Casablanca-Settat region plans to rally as many NGOs as possible "to launch a collection and distribution operation (sleeping bags, clothes, shoes, hot meals, hygiene kits, etc.)", says a statement published on this occasion. It has become urgent to call on the public authorities who acted without taking into account the difficult climatic conditions, the GTP indicates.
This is through concrete proposals to the authorities to ensure emergency accommodation for those concerned during the winter season. And then, in addition to the officials, it is the entire Casablanca community that is being made aware for the success of this donation operation.
The Regional Human Rights Commission (CRDH) of Casablanca-Settat, the Legal Clinic, Law and Justice, the International Solidarity Committee (CEI), the Moroccan Network of Migration Journalists (RMJM), the Rim espoir association and the Guinean Organization for the Fight against Irregular Migration have taken part in this solidarity effort.
