Casablanca to Launch Tourist Bus Service in Bid to Boost Tourism

Casablanca will soon have tourist buses, a first for the economic capital of Morocco. The announcement was made by Nabila Rmili, president of the Casablanca Council, during an extraordinary session held on Thursday.
This initiative aims to boost the city’s tourism activity, which is lagging behind other Moroccan metropolises such as Marrakech or Tangier.
"It is unacceptable that Casablanca remains without tourist buses," said Ms. Rmili, stressing the need to offer this type of service to visitors. To finance the acquisition of these buses, the City Council has sought the support of several partners. The National Tourism Company, the Regional Council and the City Council have already responded favorably to this call.
This project is part of a more global strategy for the tourism development of Casablanca, which is preparing to host several major international sporting events in the coming years. The city will notably be one of the hosts of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025 and the 2030 World Cup.
