Casablanca Invests $510 Million in Road Network to Ease Traffic for 2030 World Cup Stadium

The Casablanca-Settat Regional Council adopted during its ordinary session held on Monday a convention to connect the future Grand Stadium of Casablanca under construction as part of the 2030 World Cup to the road network of Benslimane and Mohammedia.
Amounting to 5.1 billion dirhams, this convention provides for the construction of road infrastructure to improve traffic flow towards the Grand Stadium of Casablanca, on the north and west sides, as well as work on the highways. The project will be financed by the regional council to the tune of 500 million dirhams and by ADM to the tune of 400 million dirhams. The largest contribution comes from the Ministry of Economy (2.2 billion dirhams) and the one in charge of Equipment and Water (1.9 billion dirhams), reports Médias24.
A project monitoring committee will be set up. It will be chaired by the Wali of the region and composed of the president of the Casablanca regional council, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the CEO of ADM or their representatives, as well as the regional director of the Ministry of Equipment and Water of Casablanca-Settat, the representative of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the representative of the prefecture and the president of the permanent commission on transport and mobility, renewable energies, territorial development and essential equipment of the regional council.
