Casablanca Gang Stages Fake Accidents to Rob High-End Motorcyclists After Curfew

A gang of criminals made up of at least 3 or 4 people is making headlines in Casablanca. At night, after the curfew, these thieves simulate fake accidents to rob motorcyclists.
These thieves roam the metropolis of its large motorcycles, using as bait fake accidents targeting only large engine sizes; area of operation, a major boulevard leading to Hay Hassani and known to house a wasteland where sheep are generally sold on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, details Assabah, specifying that the thieves mainly covet high-value motorcycles, because they find buyers quickly on the black market, in their current state or in spare parts, since these are in high demand in the Kingdom.
These bandits take advantage of the empty streets after 9 p.m. to commit their crimes in complete tranquility, the daily reports, stressing that many victims are motorcyclists who violate the curfew or who return late from work.
It all starts with the victim being spotted and followed by the gang. On his route, a fake accident is set up, forcing him to stop. That’s when elements of the team, sabers and other weapons in hand, emerge from nowhere, confront him by surprise and snatch his motorcycle.
A good amount of information that many victims have provided to the police, who have launched an investigation to unmask the criminals, concludes the publication.
