Casablanca Airport Warns of Social Media Scams Offering Lost Luggage Auctions

The National Airports Office (ONDA) warns travelers against the proliferation of false announcements on social networks, particularly on Facebook, offering auctions of lost or abandoned luggage at the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca.
These misleading publications, abusively using the name and image of the airport, aim to lure some credulous Internet users by promising them suitcases or luggage at prices defying all competition.
ONDA stresses that it is in no way responsible for these fraudulent announcements and that they do not represent the institution, the Casablanca airport, or any other Moroccan airport.
And to recall that unidentified or unclaimed luggage is subject to rigorous management in accordance with established procedures, involving all the stakeholders concerned, including the airlines concerned, the customs and indirect tax management services.
