Canadian Police Recover 24 Stolen Luxury Vehicles in Morocco, Including $500,000 Rolls Royce

The Halton Regional Police have managed to recover 24 vehicles, including a Rolls Royce worth $500,000, stolen in Canada and destined for Dubai, following the dismantling of a vast international car theft network.
This operation was only possible thanks to the collaboration between a Halton Regional Police task force, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the Peel Regional Police to recover the vehicles in Morocco. "The vehicles were intercepted while transiting through Morocco and have since been brought back to Canada," the police said in a statement, noting that this is "the largest seizure in Morocco of stolen Canadian vehicles."
No suspect has been arrested so far as part of the ongoing investigation. According to investigators, the modus operandi of the thieves of these vehicles is to break into the vehicle and reprogram the ignition computers, which allows them to leave with a new key. They then drive to the port of Montreal or load the vehicles into shipping containers in Toronto to be transported by rail to Montreal.
