Canadian Miner Aya Gold & Silver Achieves Record Silver Production at Zgounder Mine in 2022

Over the full year 2022, the Canadian company Aya Gold & Silver, which operates the Zgounder silver mine, saw its production increase by 17.5% compared to 2021. A record on this site.
In total, 1,880,707 ounces of silver were produced last year, a press release from the company states, specifying that at the end of the fourth quarter, this production amounted to 661,621 ounces, an increase of 52% compared to the same period in 2021.
"2022 was a record year at Zgounder, our mining operations exceeded fourth quarter forecasts [...]. It was also an important year for mine development and infrastructure construction, which is essential for the expansion of the Zgounder mine," said Benoit La Salle, President of Aya Gold and Silver.
This year, the Canadian company plans to implement an expanded drilling exploration program, both at the Zgounder mine and the Boumadine mine, in order to improve the performance of these two sites, he said. In addition to Zgounder, Aya Gold and Silver also operates the polymetallic deposit of Boumadine, Amizmiz, Azegour and Imiter bis.
