Brussels Teen Loses Fingers in Firecracker Incident, Suspects Arrested

While trying to throw firecrackers out of her apartment on Artevelde Street (Brussels), a young Moroccan girl lost several fingers. Suspects have been arrested.
The incident occurred on November 5th. That day, a firecracker attack had targeted an apartment on Artevelde Street. In the aftermath, a young Moroccan girl had tried to throw the fireworks out of the dwelling. But this action will endanger her life: she loses several fingers. Three days after the events, "three underage suspects had been identified," the public prosecutor’s office assured.
A month and a half later, "the investigation has made it possible to identify two minor boys," the Brussels Capital Ixelles police zone informs. These two suspects were arrested on December 20th.
They "were questioned after the separate searches carried out and were then made available to the public prosecutor’s office, which requested a youth judge. The two young suspects were both placed in a IPPJ," the police zone adds.
