British Firm Completes Key Studies for Major Moroccan Offshore Gas Project

The flagship gas development project of the "Anchois" field located off the coast of Morocco, led by the British company specialized in gas exploration, Chariot Oil & Gas, is progressing. The preliminary engineering and design studies ("FEED") of the key elements have been completed.
In a press release, Chariot Oil & Gas announced that it has completed the preliminary engineering and design studies ("FEED") of the key elements of its flagship gas development project of the "Anchois" field located in the "Lixus Offshore" license area off Larache, 75% owned by the British company and 25% by the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM).

Chariot Oil & Gas had started soliciting commercial proposals for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), the same source said. "The project had made excellent progress in all aspects," said Chariot CEO Adonis Pouroulis. And he added: "detailed discussions on partnership, gas sales agreements and project financing are progressing in parallel as we move towards the final investment decision (FID)".
