British Firm Chariot Announces New Natural Gas Discovery Off Moroccan Coast

The British energy company Chariot Limited announced on Wednesday the discovery of natural gas in the Anchois-3 well, located off the Moroccan coast.
The initial analysis of the Anchois-3 well has revealed the presence of gas reservoirs in the B sands, a key area for evaluating the gas potential of the region. However, the company remains cautious and emphasizes the need for more in-depth studies to assess the actual impact of this discovery and the productivity of the well.
This announcement comes shortly after another natural gas discovery by Chariot, this time on the OBA-1 site in the Loukos. Additional analyses are also underway on this site to determine the well’s productivity.
The first pilot hole drilled on Anchois-3 did not yield the expected results, with the identified reservoirs containing mainly water. Despite this setback, Chariot, in partnership with Energean and the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM), is reassuring and states that the operations are progressing as planned.
