On May 1, 1995, just a few days before the second round of the presidential election, a young Moroccan, Brahim Bouarram, was thrown into the Seine by far-right militants.
The main accused, aged 19 at the time, had been sentenced three years later to 8 years in prison. Three other people who were in his company had, for their part, received a one-year prison sentence for "failure to assist a person in danger".
