Bosnia Expels Hundreds of Migrants, Including Moroccans, in Immigration Crackdown

Over the past three months, 401 foreign nationals, including Moroccans, have been subject to expulsion measures from Bosnia-Herzegovina, for illegal entry and stay in the country.
Over the past three months, the authorities have expelled 310 foreign nationals from the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina. For the month of November alone, 114 are placed under surveillance at the Detention Center until their expulsion from the territory, reports the local press, adding that many Moroccans are among them.
During the same period, the same source notes, on the basis of the readmission agreement with the countries of the region, 43 foreign nationals were returned to the Republic of Serbia, 18 to Montenegro, and four to the Republic of Croatia. 245 were returned to their country of origin over the past three months.
During the month of November, 92 foreign citizens were expelled from the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Seven foreigners were returned to the Republic of Serbia, three to Montenegro. The service repatriated 82 foreign nationals to their countries of origin, independently or in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration.
Since the beginning of 2020, the Foreigners Service has registered 15,520 migrants, a 46% decrease compared to the same period last year, when the Service had registered 28,789 migrants.
