Bodies of Slain Scandinavian Hikers Flown Home from Morocco

The bodies of the two Scandinavians killed near Mount Toubkal in the night from Sunday to Monday were repatriated via a plane that left Casablanca airport on Friday bound for Copenhagen.
A source within the General Directorate of National Security told AFP that the bodies of the Danish Louisa Vesterager Jespersen and the Norwegian Maren Ueland left Mohammed V airport in Casablanca at 12:15 local time.
The two bodies had been discovered on Monday morning by tourists and one of them was beheaded, according to a source close to the case. The day after the discovery of the bodies, a first suspect had been arrested in Marrakech and on Thursday, the Moroccan authorities announced the arrest of the three other suspects.
The four individuals had pledged allegiance to the terrorist group Daesh in a video they had recorded a week before the events.
