Two Bodies Found in Nador Province: Suspected Suicide and Homicide

The lifeless body of a Moroccan was found during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in a house in Ihadaden, in the province of Nador. The victim, around 40 years old, is believed to have committed suicide by hanging. Shortly afterwards, a second lifeless body was discovered.

The man was found hanged in a house belonging to a Moroccan residing abroad. Alerted, the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie, accompanied by the administrative authorities, went to the scene and carried out the usual findings. After inspecting the premises, they realized that the victim was living alone in a nearby house.

Once at the home of the quadragenarian, the agents discover the lifeless body of a young man of about 20 years old, naked and bearing a stab wound as well as several bruises. An investigation has been opened on the orders of the competent public prosecutor’s office of the Nador Court of Appeal to determine the causes and circumstances of these deaths.

In a first step, the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of Nador, assisted by the administrative authorities and the scientific police, carried out a complete search of the house of the first victim, discovering a large unconnected gas bottle, a large bladed weapon, and a pickaxe that was used to dig a grave in a room of the house.

The investigators also specify that the death of the young man dates back a day or more. The bodies of the two victims were transferred to the morgue of the Hassani Hospital for the purposes of the autopsy in order to determine the exact causes of their death.
