Bird Strike Causes 24-Hour Delay for 200 Passengers on Marrakech-Bound Flight

Big hassle at Dole-Tavaux airport, where some 200 travelers who were about to travel to Marrakech had to wait more than 24 hours due to a curious breakdown.
24 hours late because of a bird. According to information provided by the newspaper Le Progrès, 200 eager travelers to join Morocco for a few days of rest were stranded at the airport due to an engine damaged by a bird. This situation, which began on Monday, June 12, was prolonged, resulting in an unbearable wait for the passengers.
The night spent at the airport was an ordeal for many families with young children. Some were able to find refuge in a hotel on the outskirts of Dole, but the uncertainty still reigned on Tuesday at noon. The travelers were in expectation and the late communication of information exacerbated the tension among the passengers. A testimony from a traveler says a lot: "We are informed of everything at the last moment, I have never seen anything like this."
After a grueling wait of more than 24 hours, relief finally arrived for the travelers. The plane was able to take off on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. for an expected arrival in Marrakech two hours and forty-five minutes later.
