Béziers Mosque Files Complaint After Online Calls for Arson Following Teacher’s Murder

The officials of the Grand Mosque of Béziers filed a complaint against X following the call issued by Internet users to burn the mosque the day after the assassination of teacher Samuel Paty in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.
According to information provided by the police, Internet users called for the burning of the Grand Mosque of Béziers. "Do you want to pay tribute to this teacher? Go burn the mosque in Béziers. Get the message across that we’ve had enough," could be read on Facebook. But the exchanges disappeared shortly afterwards, reports franceinfo.fr.
Many other Internet users supported the call, encouraging those who want to take action. The same source indicates that the complaint filed by the mosque is already on the desk of the Béziers prosecutor’s office.
