Belgium Extradites Notorious Drug Trafficker Oualid Sekkaki to Morocco

Qualid Sekkaki has just joined his brother Ashraf Sekkaki, imprisoned in Morocco for a firm prison sentence of twelve years. Extradited by Belgium, he has been in Morocco since last Friday.
It was in 2021 that Oualid Sekkaki was released from prison after serving a seven-year prison sentence in Belgium, for shooting, possession of prohibited weapons, assault and battery and drug trafficking. But he is already the subject of two arrest warrants issued by the judicial police of Nador and the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) for international drug trafficking.
If Ashraf Sekkaki is nicknamed the "king of escape", his brother is no less so. In 2020, he had escaped from the prison of Turnhout in Belgium, fleeing extradition to Morocco. But his adventure outside the prison walls will only last a few weeks. He will be arrested and put back behind bars.
With the charges against him, Oualid Sekkaki risks several years in prison, and this is bad news for his brother, suspected of running a large drug trafficking and stolen goods network from the Salé prison.
