Belgian Volunteers Pave Road in Remote Moroccan Village, Improving Access

About ten young Belgian women volunteered to pave a steep road in the city of Taroudant. Sacrificing their summer vacation for a humanitarian action, the young volunteers have attracted the sympathy of the inhabitants and Internet users online.
The initiative of the Belgian nationals has been highly appreciated by the inhabitants and on social networks. They did not fail to praise this generous humanitarian action allowing the opening up of an isolated village in the Taroudant region.
Thanks to the road surfacing work, the locality will be more accessible to ambulances and other means of transport. An action which, according to the witnesses, should see the participation of the local authorities, for better efficiency.
The inhabitants and Internet users deplored the lack of intervention by elected officials and local officials, and regretted seeing the young volunteer women substitute for their roles. Some even criticized the lack of initiative of the inhabitants.
