Belgian Police Arrest Owner of Nazi-Symbol Truck in Dawn Raid

Members of the special units of the federal police in coordination with the CARMA police managed to arrest the owner of the pickup truck displaying Nazi symbols at a residence on Hoogstraat in Zutendaal.
"As part of an investigation into a violation of the legislation on racism and the legislation on weapons as well as on threats by gestures, the CARMA police carried out a raid on a house in Zutendaal on Friday morning around 5 a.m.," explains Pieter Strauven, prosecutor of the Limburg public prosecutor’s office.
This raid proved fruitful: E.M., 59, the owner of the van that displayed Nazi symbols in the Vlaams Belang procession in September, was arrested, reports De Morgen. The same source indicates that he is an extreme right-wing sympathizer from Limburg.
For the moment, the CARMA police are conducting a more in-depth investigation into the facts.
