Belgian ISIS Fighter in Syrian Prison Seeks Repatriation to Serve Sentence

Tired of his living conditions in the prison of Hassaké, in Syria nicknamed "the prison of the IS", Abdellah Nouamane alias Abou Jihad al Belgiki, one of the most dangerous Belgian jihadists, would like to return to his country to serve his sentence there.
"I have Belgian nationality, if it hasn’t been revoked yet. I want to go back to Belgium. I have recognized my mistake, why not get a second chance?"
These are the words in which Abdellah Nouamane, 24, clearly expressed his wish to return to his country of origin, Belgium. This former Daesh fighter confided in VTM. "If I go back, I won’t go to the fair or Bobbejaanland. I’ll go to prison," he promised.
This Belgian jihadist is a former militant of the Belgian Islamist group Sharia4Belgium. He had left Antwerp for Syria in 2013, before joining the ranks of the Islamic State (IS).
Considered one of the most dangerous Belgian jihadists, he had urged Muslims in Belgium to "take up arms against the infidels". Explaining these facts, Abdellah Nouamane said that "it was fashionable all over the world".
