Ayyoub Bouaddi says "yes" to Morocco and turns his back on France

Excellent with Lille despite an irregular season for his club, Ayyoub Bouaddi was at the heart of a selection duel between France and Morocco. On this occasion, the Moroccan sports project was detailed to the Lille player, who has agreed to join the squad as early as March 2026, marking a major milestone for the finalist of the last CAN.

This choice is a blow to the French team, as Bouaddi already had eight caps with the Under-21s. Conversely, Morocco continues to strengthen its midfield. With the presence of Neil El Aynaoui and the recent commitment of the young Samir El Mourabet, the Atlas Lions secure one of the most promising prospects in Ligue 1.
