Attijariwafa Bank Named Morocco’s Top Bank for 9th Time by Financial Times Magazine

The English magazine "The Banker" of Financial Times has awarded Attijariwafa bank the prize of "Best Moroccan Bank of the Year 2020" for the 9th time.
The bank won this award thanks to its achievements during the year 2019 and the signing of several contracts aimed at strengthening relations between Africa and Asia, according to a press release from Attijariwafa bank. According to The Banker, Attijariwafa bank’s leadership has made it a proactive player in managing the coronavirus epidemic and the economic crisis.
In this regard, it has developed several measures to support its clients affected by the pandemic. In addition to the deferral of credit maturities, the bank has continued its efforts to develop digital transformation projects and improve its digital solutions for the benefit of its clients, the same press release continues.
In addition, the bank also carried out several public and private development projects in the countries where the group is established last year. This "Bank of the Year" distinction is awarded annually to banks that show the best overall performance in their countries, it is specified.
