A decisive match for the Moroccans this Wednesday. The Atlas Lionesses will cross swords with the DR Congo team as part of the second round of Group A of the 2024 Women’s AFCON in Morocco.
After a mixed performance and a draw against Zambia (2-2) in the first round, Jorge Vilda’s protégées cannot afford to make any mistakes tonight. The Moroccan women’s team must correct their defensive shortcomings displayed in the first match, in order to hope for a victory over the Congolese and a qualification for the AFCON at home.
For their part, DR Congo, who were corrected 4-0 by Senegal on Sunday at the El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia, is also determined to secure their first points against the Atlas Lionesses, the favorites in front of their home crowd. The match is scheduled for this Wednesday at the Rabat Olympic Stadium. Kick-off is at 8 pm (Moroccan time), 9 pm in France. The match can be followed on the Moroccan channel Arryadia (TNT).
