Artists Unite to Combat School Dropout in Maghreb Through Exhibition Fundraiser

An exhibition is being held from February 23 to 27, 2020 at the Oasis auditorium. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the objects will be used to support the association "Enfance Maghreb Avenir", which since 2005 has been working to fight school dropout.
"EMA’rt": this is the name of the exhibition, the second one, which brings together twenty-one photographers, painters and sculptors who are collectively exhibiting at the Oasis, to support the association "Enfance Maghreb Avenir" which is involved in the fight against school dropout through art. "This is the second edition, the first one having taken place in 2018. For the previous edition, 450,000 DH were raised. For this year, we will have to wait until the end of February to know the amount collected," explains Najate Limet, the founder and president of "EMA Maroc" which is a branch of "Enfance Maghreb Avenir France", reports La Vie Eco.
Rehabilitation of schools, acquisition of school transport vehicles, donation of school supplies... In short, it is about guaranteeing the right to education for children. EMA is also working on the "Second Chance School" project, located in Nouasseur. Providing both learning and vocational training, this establishment will welcome about sixty students aged 17 to 20 years old. All the rehabilitation and development work has been carried out in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and the INDH.
The association’s actions have today benefited 13,600 children, particularly young girls who have been able to be enrolled or kept in school, say its officials. Furthermore, to address the remoteness of schools, which is the main cause of school dropout, the association has also invested in improving transportation.
