Morocco and Algeria are engaged in an arms race to the point of fearing the possibility of a war in the Maghreb.
Since the cooling of their relations due in particular to the Sahara issue, Morocco and Algeria have embarked on a frantic arms race. "The surest sign of this is the increase in military spending in Algeria as well as in Morocco," warns El Confidencial.
