Arab League Adopts Map Showing Western Sahara as Part of Morocco

After the United States and several other countries or institutions, it is now the turn of the Arab League to adopt the map of Morocco integrating the Sahara. In a note addressed to its bodies and organizations, it has recommended its adoption in all events.
According to Arab diplomatic sources, the Arab League has, in a note, recommended to all its bodies and organizations the adoption of a map of Morocco integrating Morocco and demanded full respect for its content, reports the MAP. It accompanied this note with a complete map of the Arab world, including a map of Morocco that includes the southern provinces of the kingdom.
This decision comes following a protest recently expressed by the Algerian delegation within the League against the publication of the complete map of Morocco in one of the events organized by the Arab Women’s Organization in Cairo, and by the Director General of Algerian Customs, Noureddine Khaldi and the members of his delegation during a meeting of the Customs of the MENA region, during which the complete map of Morocco was used.
For the record, at the last ministerial meeting of the Arab Ministers of Housing, held in Amman, Jordan, the stakeholders called for the need to respect the geography and sovereignty of States. The meeting also called for ensuring that in all events organized by the bodies, federations and organizations affiliated with the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing, the complete and undivided map of the Arab world is published.
