Apple Expands ’Look Around’ Feature to Middle East and North Africa

Countries like Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey will benefit from a new Apple feature that comes to compete with Google Street View.
Apple is deploying "Look Around" on the web version of Apple Maps as part of its cartographic conquest strategy. This feature is its equivalent to Google Street View. This feature "now allows users of all browsers to explore the streets in 360-degree immersive view, without requiring an Apple device".

Apple is aiming high. The Cupertino giant is preparing a massive expansion of Look Around. Many countries, including Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, China, Belarus, Turkey, Bulgaria, Mexico and Slovakia, should soon benefit from this feature, we learn.
In the United States, Apple plans to extend Look Around to major road networks, small towns and rural areas, in order to fill the gap with Google Street View, present on the market for 17 years.
